Petra finished her studies at the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague in 2003. During her studies Petra focused on family law, in particular legal protection of children. Petra worked for Sdružení Linka bezpečí (Safety Line Association). In 2003 Petra started working for the Department of Legislation and Coordination with EU Law at the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. In 2004 Petra joined a notary´s office. After successfully passing the notaries´ exam, Petra was appointed a permanent deputy notary by the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic. Whilst working in the notary´s office, Petra actively cooperated with the International Union of Notaries.
As a permanent deputy notary, Petra gained a considerable amount of experience in civil and family law, especially in the areas of inheritance, matrimonial (martial property, divorce, maintenance etc.) and property law, as well as in commercial law. At present, Petra works as a lawyer, specializing primarily in family law. Apart from Czech, Petra speaks English, Hungarian and Slovak.
